New Valorant Patch 3.06 is live, and it brought some major changes to some valorant agents’ abilities and valorant maps. Apart from these changes, the valorant patch has also corrected some bugs and included a few game systems updates.

The Valorant community is one of the largest growing gaming communities globally due to the rigorous efforts of valorant developers to provide the best FPS gaming experience. Unlike most games in the market, Valorant is special. It regularly features new valorant patch updates, new valorant agents, maps, and additional exclusive content tied to the valorant lore.

Let’s look into the updates implemented by the newest valorant patch.

The new valorant patch brings minor updates to five valorant maps, all of which now feature changes regarding how the radianite crates on spike sites deal with bullet penetration. It is mainly done to support attackers and defenders in pushing a site and retaking or defending a site.

Valorant Agent Updates

The updates within the new valorant patch affect three valorant agents, two from the Initiator Agent class and one from the Duelist Agent class.

KAY/O

new valorant patch

The new valorant agent fix allows KAY/O players to use their pop flash cleverly without a projectile audio cue. His ultimate ability also features a significant buff.

  • FLASH/drive
    • Windup telegraph duration reduced from 0.5s to 0.3s.
    • Windup telegraph duration on Right-click reduced from 1s to 1.3s.
    • Audio cue during the flight of the projectile is removed.
  • NULL/cmd
    • It will continue to pulse after KAY/O is downed.

Skye

new valorant patch

Developers have observed that Skye players have been banking on the prospect of utilizing guiding light, which previously allowed them to immediately re-equip weapons, offering better chances to take on dazed opponents. Moreover, the cost of Seekers ability is increased to balance the agent further.

  • Guiding Light
    • Unequip time after projecting or bending the Guiding Light projectile is increased from 0.5s to 0.75s.
    • Windup time post-activation after the flash goes off is increased from 0.25s to 0.3s.
  • Seekers
    • Ultimate ability cost increased from 6 to 7 units.

Jett

new valorant patch

The notoriously overpowered agent now faces a significant nerf to her ability usage, which previously allowed her to throw more smoke projectiles and deal unequal damage within her Bladestorm ultimate ability.

  • Cloudburst
    • The number of total charges reduced from 3 to 2 units.
  • Bladestorm
    • ALT. FIRE kills no longer recharge the Kunai.
    • ALT. FIRE damage points and multipliers will mirror the effect with the FIRE button.

Valorant Game System Updates

The Game System Updates feature a fix for players using the Public Beta Environment (PBE) and the live version of Valorant. Another feature clears a bug with calling timeouts for Professional Valorant Team Coaches.

  • User’s settings for both game versions are now split, with the ability to retain individual settings for each version despite switching between them.
  • Coaches now default to All Chat instead of previously limited Team Chat to clear bugs related to /timeout or /to command.

Valorant Bug Updates

The two known bugs present within the game pertain to a particular Map and Social features.

  • Icebox Minimap and vision cones will now correctly present the callout of Near B Yellow.
  • Deathmatch penalties should no longer prevent players from getting banned for AFK-ing.
